The Talent Development Specialist is responsible for the overall design, development, and execution of Clayton & McKervey’s learning and development initiatives. This individual will work with subject-matter experts, practice leaders, and colleagues to design, deliver and evaluate innovative and effective learnings to build the skills and capabilities of our professionals at each stage of their career.
Own and continuously improve the learning and development curriculum, design, development and delivery of learning initiatives for assigned groups.
Partner with staff and firm management to advise on CPE and other opportunities to meet their needs and requirements.
Work independently with internal subject matter experts and external vendors to design, develop, and deliver technical and soft skills training.
Manage program operations including budget, communications, program delivery and evaluation.
Use evaluation data to measure impact and improve learning initiatives.
Facilitate in-person and virtual training sessions for new hires and current employees of all levels.
Stay abreast of industry best practices, emerging technologies, and product offerings for training curriculum.

Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or another communication or business-related field.
CPA certification preferred.
Tax background preferred.
3+ years of experience in a public accounting industry with talent development responsibilities.
Experience with learning principles and learning curriculum and content design and development in multiple learning modalities.
Ability to moderate large groups.
Passion for teaching and growing others
Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills; extremely organized and detail-oriented.
