The Conlin Travel Group Department is seeking a qualified candidate interested in fulfilling a full-time Senior Event Manager position. This position will be charged with managing a portfolio of groups, meetings and events.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Manage goals, objectives, procedures for international and domestic groups, meetings, and events • Budget development and administration for groups, meetings, and events • Build customer relationships by working directly with clients in developing program and event requirements • Manage meetings and events tour proposals • Coordinate logistic and operational procedures with staff • Negotiate and manage vendor contracts with hotels, F&B providers, DMC's, AV and airlines • On-site event coordination for large groups and meetings • Utilize group reservation software • Offer assistance to other Program Managers with logistics and group details • Support and assist clients with reservations, questions and requests • Post evaluation of programs and events to insure proper return on investment
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in the Meeting/Group area of travel – CMP Preferred • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, display professional workplace etiquette, attire, and timeliness • Create individualized programs, tours, and events providing a variety of options to clients • Strive to create an experience for the guest and make every program memorable • Create event itineraries, proposals • Ability to multi-task, work independently and under pressure • Be able to travel onsite with groups as primary coordinator • Demonstrated ability to shift direction in response to changing work situations • Strong attention to detail is a must • Experienced in Microsoft Office programs, specifically Excel, Word and Outlook • Maintain accountability for all job responsibilities • Adaptability to new processes
