Required Skills/Experience: The VP Chief Risk, Compliance & Privacy Officer must possess excellent knowledge of risk management and related programs, strong initiative, collaboration skills, communication proficiency, problem-solving and analytical skills, as well as excellent management and leadership skills and strong business acumen. - A minimum of 15 years of Risk Management, Enterprise Risk Management, Compliance or legal experience, inclusive of progressive leadership experience;
- Bachelor degree in Finance, Business Law, Risk Management or equivalent field required, Master’s or Juris Doctorate preferred;
- Superior analytical and critical thinking skills including strategic thinking, problem-solving, and the ability to disaggregate business plans into component risks;
- Strong business acumen including business and financial judgement;
- Strong process orientation including a strong understanding of processes and core management activities in order to assist the organization in developing processes to identify, monitor and report on key business risks;
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to take charge and act without guidance;
- Outstanding verbal and written communications skills; the ability to build effective relationships and motivate others; the ability to communicate concisely and directly while under pressure; and an active knowledge-sharing communication style;
- Ability to deal with complexity and ambiguity and understand the big picture
- Experience with contract analysis and interpretation
- Knowledge of risk analysis, risk metrics, audit techniques, accounting standards and principles
- Extensive knowledge of legal requirements and compliance regulations
- Experience with risk management information system usage
- Working knowledge of statutory and common law principles in respect to contracts and criminal law, vendor management, and negotiation
- Strong working knowledge of US wage-hour law, including work time, exempt/non-exempt status and Fair Labor Standards Act
- Familiarity with the legal and regulatory context of temporary staffing and employee leasing
- Project management skills
- Working knowledge of third-party attestations including SSAE and SOC reports
- Knowledge of corporate record keeping obligations
- Strong knowledge of laws governing automated dialing and mass texting
- Familiarity with laws pertaining to trade sanctions, anti-corruption and corporate conduct
- Knowledge and application of Enterprise Risk technology
