Growing boutique Ann Arbor CPA firm with established, professional client base seeking energetic, motivated and experienced CPA to join our staff as a team member. We are seeking an individual with 4-7 years' experience working with small to medium sized accounts who possess excellent organization and communication skills. Ideal candidate should have a desire for work-life balance (outside of tax season), while also possessing a desire for reaching higher in their career.
Responsibilities include client oversight, preparation and detailed review of tax returns for individuals, businesses of all entity structures (1065, 1120-S, 1120, sole proprietorship) as well as a broad range of industries, with a focus on professional services. Additionally, managing client accounts and providing clients with best practices based on professional and industry practices. Handling client interactions with regulatory agencies (IRS, State of Michigan).
Strong communication and presentation skills required, as you will be regularly interacting with our clients, our staff, regulatory agencies such as the IRS, third parties such as banks, financial advisers, attorneys, etc.
Clients engage our services for our experience in problem solving as well as our analytical and critical thinking skills. The ability to assist clients in these areas is the most rewarding area of our profession.
4-7 years recent experience in public accounting firm
Analytical and critical thinking skills are crucial to success
QuickBooks and QuickBooks Online experience
Professional grade tax software (Creative Solution Suite helpful)
Microsoft Office Suite required
Auditing experience helpful, but not required
Enthusiasm for helping our client and our staff succeed
Additional Salary Information: Salary commensurate with ability to assume additional responsibilities as needed.
