Cheboygan County MI is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Finance Director. The Finance Director is responsible for the integrity and accuracy of the financial accounting system used by the County. Assists in maintaining the accounting system in a manner consistent with established and accepted governmental principles and practices. Responsible for recommending and developing budget formats and procedures, developing and monitoring internal financial controls, responsible for the preparation of audit schedules and plans and organizes the audit of all financial accounting records and has oversight of County purchasing policies and procedures. Supervises staff engaged in accounting, payroll and accounts payable activities.
