POSITIONACCOUNTABILITIESANDESSENTIALFUNCTIONS: To provide job seekers excellent customer service and assistance in utilizing services at Great Lakes Bay Michigan Works! One Stop Service Centers.
ESSENTIALDUTIESANDRESPONSIBILITIESINCLUDEBUTARENOTLIMITED TO THEFOLLOWING:
Proactively communicate available services and resources to job seekers
Tailor service delivery to individual job seekers’ needs
Assist job seekers with the posting of their resume on Pure Michigan Talent Connect (PMTC)
Provide direction to job seekers in the completion of a job search
Understand the scope of all Michigan Works! and partner agency programs to effectively assist job seekers in utilizing services
Maintain compliance with unemployment registrations/regulations
Provide technical assistance/training/input to employers in the use of Pure Michigan Talent Connect (PMTC). Notify appropriate BST Representative for follow up
Comply with all sections of the Employment Services Manual, regulations and updates
Understand the scope of all Michigan Works! programs to effectively assist job seekers in utilizing services
Make appropriate referrals to TAA, SNAP, WIOA, Veteran Services, and MRS
Market accelerated training program opportunities, participate in recruitment activities and identify potential candidates for referral to the training programs
Enter Mediated Services customers as per annual goals
Seek customer service responses through job seeker surveys
Maintain accurate statistical reports (as established by the MWA)
Provide support to Business Service Team with “Single Company Job Fair” events and individual interviewing
Meet MWA-Established Goals
Administer RESEA program in compliance with TIA policy and Unemployment Insurance Agency requirements.
Intermediate skill level in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
ADDITIONAL EXPERIENCES CONSIDERED
Previous experience (at least one year) working with job seekers.
Previous experience (at least one year) providing Wagner Peyser or Workforce Investment Act program services.
Knowledge of business, organizations, and employment opportunities.
