Who You Are
As the Commercial Loan Documentation Specialist, you are responsible for various aspects of the commercial loan documentation process, including accurate and efficient processing from receipt of the loan approval to preparing the file for closing and disbursement of loan funds while adhering to all regulatory and compliance standards. Fostering relationships with other departments and entities (title companies, vendors, etc.), you are ensuring loans progress through the pipeline efficiently and effectively.
Your Role
- Prepare loan documentation for all commercial loans and ensure that the documents comply with bank policy and that the document package and/or executed document package are complete.
- Communicate regularly with commercial lenders regarding progress of loan status and items needed for loan closing. Address questions and concerns through investigation and corrective action or in consultation with the Loan Officers.
- Responsible for assisting lenders with clearing all loan conditions and requirements as set by the commercial loan guidelines and per the loan approval and prepare for closing.
- Complete all necessary review and documentation such as UCC searches, title requirements, flood, etc.
- Order critical documents and verifications, including but not limited to title work, flood certs, entity status. Examine and verify authenticity of documents and submit to the Commercial Lenders for determination within the established timeframe.
- Enter loans into Laser Pro System, while maintaining pipeline tracking for loans in process to ensure timely completion.
Experience and Skills
Your Knowledge and Experience
- Associates degree in accounting or finance preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 2+ years' experience in working in loan documentation.
- Knowledge of agency guidelines and industry standards as they relate to commercial lending.
- Exceptional organization, time management and follow-up skills. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with customers, bank employees and outside service providers.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and a wide range of procedures requiring sound judgement.
- Working knowledge of MS Office Suite, LaserPro is a plus
- Excellent organizational skills
