About the Job:
As a Balancing Manager you will report to Independent Bank's Controller. You will oversee the balancing operation, and serve as the administrator for Frontier Reconciliation/Certification. You will also perform the duties of a supervisor in personnel issues.

What You Will Do:
- Have a thorough understanding of balancing procedures and transaction interfaces.
- Serve as the application administrator for Frontier Reconciliation.
- Builds automated reconciliations within Frontier Reconciliation and is responsible for ongoing maintenance of the automated reconciliations.
- Administrate the tracking of all company reconciliations through Frontier Certification.
- Provides technical support to departments and branches as it relates to balancing issues and considerations.
- Serve as a resource and provide customer service to areas as it pertains to balancing issues.
- Oversees and provides training programs for personnel as needed.
- Helps to develop and prepare for future needs in the departments.
- Manage personnel related issues such as: hire or termination, time record, schedule coverage for personal and vacation day, and schedule regular performance reviews.
- Set and Achieve goals for each team.
- Prepare monthly reports for management.
- Gain a complete understanding of all regulations that affect the duties performed by the team in each area.
- Maintain a clean and organized department.
- Address audit concerns as they pertain to the department.
- Work to improve quality assurance.
- Actively participate in the budget process.
- Play an active role in changes that may affect the departments.
- Responsible for the conversions, product changes and updates that affect area.
- Other duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent experience.
- Banking and Supervisory experience.
- 3+ years Bank operations or balancing experience preferred.
- Personal computer experience required with knowledge or work processing, spreadsheets and database applications.
- Prior knowledge of Fiserv systems and automated balancing applications, including Frontier Reconciliation, desired.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Must possess the ability to work under pressure, handle multiple tasks and be a self-starter but work well within a team environment.
- Math, problem solving, research and organizational skills required.
