Job Description Summary:

• Schedule and manage financial services activities and processing which includes all student financial assistance, financial aid processing, financial planning and literacy, student account and billing inquiries, payment plans, and student employment through various communication systems.
• Counsel and advise students and parents about financial services operations, methods, and policies and procedures.
• Resolve complex student issues.
• Assist in the development and implementation of workshops, seminars, and presentations related to financial assistance, financial aid, financial literacy, student accounts and billing, and student employment.
• Assist in the development and implementation of staff training programs to insure knowledge of current policies and practices.
• Collect and analyze data.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
• Superior customer service skills.
• Minimum five years experience in higher education financial aid advising and processing.
• Strong working knowledge of current financial aid programs and financial services operations.
• Technical database skills particularly related to student services.
• Experience and knowledge in student account and billing methods.
• Experience applying accounting principles.
• Knowledge of student employment practices.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Strong team building skills.
• Excellent organizational, time management and analytical skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse population of students, parents and staff.
