This role supports all aspects of the client relationship through direct interaction with clients and the Ameriprise home office as well through leveraging our technology systems. This exciting role assists financial advisor(s) and associate financial advisor(s) in managing and organizing office workflow with an emphasis on creating and delivering a unique client experience that defines and differentiates the practice. This position will consistently follow high standards of business and professional ethics and legal and regulatory requirements when dealing with others and/or performing work activities.
Responsibilities Position Functions: Will change over time to meet the needs of the practice and can include other duties as assigned by the advisor.
40% Business Management - Maintain files and records in accordance with the records retention policy
- Update and maintain data in financial planning tools/software
- Ensure office procedures are followed
- Maintain compliance records
- Record all transactions on appropriate logs
- Set up files correctly and obtain necessary information
- Additional duties may be assigned as needed
- Perform other allowable duties as assigned by the financial advisor(s) and associate financial advisor(s)
60% Client Care - First point of contact for client calls; handles calls when possible, or forwards to appropriate team member
- Answer questions and provide readily available information to clients, if requested and as allowable, as it relates to servicing their accounts
- Call clients or prospects to set up meetings or appointments
- Write notes or letters to clients on personal letterhead of administrative nature only and handle client appreciation
- Attend and participate in client meetings if necessary
- Conduct transaction requests as directed by financial advisor(s) and associate financial advisor(s)
- Answer unsolicited calls from prospects to schedule appointments or refer to advisor Update and maintain data in the CRM and/or other office tools/software (including CRM with new addresses, emails, and phone numbers, and updates preferred fund list
- Prepare documentation and related files in preparation and follow-up of client meetings
- Organize, coordinate, and maintain all client paperwork
- Correspond with clients to complete new accounts, asset transfers, and other transactions
- Handle routine matters for client accounts, including processing name and address changes, account applications and bank authorizations, answering client questions via telephone and face to face
- Research and resolve client service problems by contacting Home Office and Sponsor Companies to resolve problems or errors as needed

Required Qualifications - College degree or higher
- 2+ years of similar experience
- Already have or be able to study for and pass exams for federal and state licenses and
- registrations for securities, including Series 7, Series 66, and State life, accident and
- health insurance license
