_{The President & CEO is a visible and inspirational leader for the Bank’s employees, a champion of the Bank’s culture and a dedicated member of the local communities we serve. Primary responsibilities include managing and directing the organization toward its primary objectives, based on profit and return on capital; overseeing the overall implementation and management of financial institution objectives, policies and strategic plans.  Primary work location will be the Main Office in Hillsdale and residence within Hillsdale, Jackson or Lenawee County is essential.}

_DUTIES

• _{Leads the development and implementation of current and long-range objectives, plans and policies of the financial institution through regular strategic planning sessions, as directed and approved by the Board of Directors.}

• _{Dispenses advice, guidance, direction and authorization to carry out major plans and procedures, consistent with established financial institution policies and board approval.}

• _{Oversees operations of the financial institution through comparison of operating results with established objectives; ensures that measures are taken to correct unsatisfactory results.}

• _{Oversees Finance, Human Resources, Lending, Operations, Retail, and Wealth Management areas; along with Risk Management through the Chairperson of the Audit Committee.}

• _{Supports a customer- and team-focused collaborative culture.}

• _{Advises Executive Management on issues including salary administration, management trends and incentives, and departmental objectives and corporation goals.}

• _{Serves as Public Relations point-person and spokesperson when needed.}

• _{Represents the financial institution as point person for national and local trade associations - ABA, ICBA, MBA and CBM.}

• _{Provides guidance for lending activities working with all loan departments and Senior Loan Officer.}

• _{Provides shareholder interaction/interface, communication and promotion.}

• _{Plans, develops and maintains a well-trained staff and encourages continued learning.}

• _{Keeps Board of Directors informed on all matters requiring their attention.}

• _{Reviews securities portfolio and adjusts for liquidity and profit, as a member of the Investment Committee.}

• _{Works with CFO to develop annual budget and reviews quarterly; and maintain and review all insurance coverage.}

• _{Assists and works with all outside auditors and supervisory agencies to complete required audits and examinations and follow-up on all necessary corrective actions.}

• _{Represents Bank at community functions.}

• _{Contacts customers regarding new business opportunities.}

• _{Contacts regulators and correspondent banks regarding products, rates, rules, and procedures.}

• _{Maintains high moral standards at all times.}

• _{Maintains and protects confidentiality of customer information.}

• _{Maintains regular, on-time attendance.}

• _{Remains current in assigned training and continuing education for job responsibilities (online, video, in-house emails, telephone seminars, etc.)}

• _{Complies with all regulatory requirements including Bank Secrecy Act and all others specific to job responsibilities.}

• _{Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration/Finance or related field.}

• _{Must have previous financial institution experience, with 10 years in senior management position.}
