HOURS: Average 37.5 hours per week; Primarily Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. Hours may be flexed to include occasional evenings and weekends as determined by the College.

Up to thirty-eight (38) paid leave days annually (prorated based on hire date). Note: Unused vacation time will not be paid out and sick time balances will be forfeited upon separation.

Some remote work hours may be completed after successful completion of on-campus training and orientation. Must live within commutable distance and be available for on-campus hours as scheduled/required (up to and including all work hours if deemed required).
JOB SUMMARY: The Controller coordinates and oversees the College’s various functional financial, accounting, and treasury operations under the direction of the Chief Financial Officer.
Oversee operation and maintenance of the College business office.
Responsible for College annual audits, grants, and restricted funds to ensure compliance.
Manage all financial reporting of the college.
Manage College cash flow and forecasting.
Directs the investment of the College’s assets.
Develop, implement, and ensure compliance with financial and accounting policies and procedures.
Leverage the use of technology to streamline financial operations.
Other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Reports to the Chief Financial Officer.
SUPERVISION GIVEN: Direct supervision of Assistant Controller, Accountants, and Payroll Manager.
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business with a major in accounting required. Advanced degree and /or CPA preferred.
EXPERIENCE: Minimum of five years of experience directly related to managing the financial operations of a complex organization similar in size to the College. Higher education, grant accounting and/or public accounting experience required.
