SUMMARY
Assists the Controller with the financial activities of the University by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned by proper personnel.
- Assists Controller with budget reporting and control through detail entry and maintenance of systems
- Provides budget management and follow-up with administrator/department
- Provides account analysis and service to report users
- Approve/review invoices for Facilities Plant
- Accounts payable troubleshooting and support
- Support cash management
- Support Accounts Receivable/Advancement/Student Financial Services account coding and work processes
- Performs monthly/quarterly/year end close activities
- Perform financial analysis as needed
- Administrate use of the SAU credit cards & training
- Assist Controller with annual audit preparation
- Update business managers security access as appropriate
- New/proposed program financial analysis
- Assists with other related/non-related projects & programs, as required

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's Accounting degree from four-year University and 3-5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. CPA is a plus. Must be comfortable with new software/technology including intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel.
Experience working in multicultural academic environments preferred and individuals from diverse populations are encouraged to apply.
