Work as part of a team with Financial Advisors to develop financial strategies and reduce individual client’s tax liability. Complete tax analysis and prepare returns for clients.
Duties and Responsibilities
Analyze Tax Liability
Prepare Tax Projections
Prepare and file Tax Returns
Prepare and deliver presentations to clients and prospective clients
Develop and maintain client base
Market and sell appropriate tax plans
Attend meetings and continuing education sessions
Work with Financial Advisors to service high income/net worth individuals
Comply with all industry rules and regulations
Represent clients in front of the IRS and state revenue departments
All other tasks assigned
Supervisory Responsibilities
Mentor new hires and individuals early on in their career
Manage production goals for the office
Review tax projections and tax returns for other tax specialists as needed
Allocate time to train and develop other members of the tax team
Collaborate with leaders from other disciplines and offices

Work Environment
The working environment is similar to a professional open office setting.
The role requires the employee to use equipment such as photocopiers, computers, phones, fax machines, filing cabinets, and other office equipment as needed.
Expected Hours
The Advanced Tax Planner schedule will vary, but generally will include shifts working before, during, and after the regular hours of operation.
Regular hours of operation are Monday-Friday 8am-6pm.
Work Authorizations / Security Clearances
This position requires the employee to satisfactorily complete a background check.

Education and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
5+ years’ experience preparing and reviewing federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and trusts
Must possess active Enrolled Agent and Certified Public Accountant designation
Must possess active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN)
Experience with CCH Axcess Software preferred *

Basic computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office applications
