Position Summary:
Provides oversight and leadership in the day-to-day management of all College of Education and Human Services fiscal operations and staff personnel administration and serves as the lead administrator of college-wide strategic recruitment efforts. Director is responsible for the development and implementation of all EHS fiscal year budgets and management thereof. As a member of the senior CEHS executive team, routinely assumes responsibility for an ever-evolving and increasing scope of special projects, as directed by the Dean and Associate Dean of CEHS.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelors degree, preferably in accounting, administration, or a related field.
Three years experience in a related field, to include fiscal planning, resource, personnel, and/or event management.
Demonstrated strong problem-solving skills.
Demonstrated positive and proactive interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and project a professional image in written and verbal contexts.
Demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions and requirements for this position.

Preferred Qualifications:
Masters Degree in Finance, Business, Administration or Related Field.
Experience with Grant Management and Accounting.
Experience with Capital, Operational and Efficiency Analyses.
Supervisory, Training and Leadership Experience.
Experience with RCM Budgeting and Strategic Planning.
Human Resource familiarity.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Provides direct budget planning oversight and reporting of all general, designated, grants/endowments and gift accounts in EHS.
Prepares and analyzes financial statements; provides monthly reports to the Dean; creates internal budgets; prepares and analyzes budget and enrollment projections.
Advises and directs faculty members and support staff, and collaborates with grant accounting and ORGS to ensure proper grant management and compliance.
Provides fiscal advice and data to the Dean and Chairs/Directors with regards to financial planning and investments.
Supervises financial activity across the college to ensure fiscal responsibility and compliance with University policies/procedures and internal auditing standards as well as employee union contractual agreements.
Coordinates, develops, and provides budget recommendations and projections for the fiscal year.
Coordinates staff position searches and other personnel adjustments for staff.
Serves as principle liaison between Human Resources, Faculty Personnel Services, Budget and Planning.
Serves as principle liaison between CMU Innovation and Online financial services and CEHS.
Serves as principle liaison between EHS staff/department chairs on budgetary, staff personnel, and business matters.
Provides onboarding and training to new staff employees as it relates to financial management and fiduciary responsibilities.
Coordinates and reviews all EHS personnel transactions.
Provides administrative oversight and supervision of recruitment activities and marketing/branding staff initiatives.
Provides supervision to EHS recruiter and marketing/branding staff.
Provides supervision to EHS Deans Office support staff.
Provides oversight of office support staff with completion of financial-related tasks and projects.
Serves on the Deans Advisory Council.
Represents CEHS on various task force committees as directed by the Dean.
Provides oversight of budgetary and business planning for CEHS centers.
